  2. I've found if you are on the move a poncho has more uses than a bivvy. If you are unsure how safe you are in an area but you are tired and have to stop you can wear your additional shelter. If you hear movement in the distance you're up and away with your shelter in seconds. If it's raining you set it up like a tarp because it's a lot less likely someone will be out in the rain (if things are really bad maybe you want to wear your shelter and keep moving). This is actual experience, not theory though like you said it's environment and situation dependent. It might not be great in the cold but that is a whole different thing to consider.

  3. How sharp are you ?
How alive is your mind ?
Go now, go far, go fast.
Could you, would you, should you ?
You've got it all but do you need it ?
Can you survive on the minimum ?
I love a gadget but can't carry them all.
Go fast go lite you have your mind brain skills knowledge. Keep them alive.

  4. If aliens snatched you up RIGHT NOW and dropped you in the middle of a forest, how long would you survive? Keys, wallet, two knives, a kpow, lighter, two pairs of glasses, phone, pocket change, hiking shoes, combat pants, long sleeve shirt, barn coat, leather belt… I would be okay most likely. If the aliens struck while I was asleep the situation would be much worse since I do no have any of that stuff on me.

  6. 2 things that are very difficult in the shtf situation. Natural anti biotics and natural anti histamine. All else can be improvised or trained for. Figure out those two problems and you've got a great chance no matter what comes. It's ok having meds from the shop but when the shelves are empty never to be refilled, you're screwed. When your stash expires, gets stolen or used up………..then what?

  7. Walmart has a mini flashlight for $1.88 it has 3 AAA batteries i gave one to my neighbor and he took out the AAA assembly and just inserted a C battery. Its more powerful and lasts longer n cheaper to replace plus he just set aside the AAA assembly n theres too much to go wrong wires to come loose batteries to b dislodged etc. It workes. Only $1.88 n a C cell battery n u have good long-lasting light at nominal Cost.
